Bobby and Toni Morton started Rancho Relaxo Films in 2024. Located in Tombstone Arizona, center of the universe when it comes to western folklore and legend, they celebrate cowboy culture and tradition by producing quality, wholesome, family entertainment. We are an independent film company collaborating with local enthusiasts and talent.

SEEKING TO CAST 25 ROLES FOR
INDEPENDENT SHORT FILM
Upcoming “Circuit Preacher” production looking for cast and crew. A short film western thriller, shooting the last week of April for 1 day at Gammons Gulch Movie Set in Benson Arizona. This will be followed in May by 3 half days on a sound stage.
Logline: “Preacher is riding into town for a hanging, he’s not coming alone and what happens next ain’t nice.”
We are looking for (experience is good but not necessary):
1 female lead.
5 female supporting roles.
19 male supporting roles.
Crewmembers.

ROLE CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
1. Circuit Preacher (Lead w/lines) Male 45+ Has been riding the Tucson sector for seven years now. He had officiated over weddings, funerals, baptisms, and knows most of the people in Pima and Cochise Counties by name. His faith in God remains intact, but his faith in humankind has been diminishing. CASTED
2. Death (Lead w/lines) Female 30+ Slight build, petite. Dressed in black mourning dress with veil. Death is somewhat childlike and awkward in this human form.
3. Gambler Male 30+ (lines) French Creo Caribbean accent. A flashy dresser, he gambles for a living. He is pretty good at it and rarely needs to cheat. He has no qualms about taking someone's last red cent.
4. Ranch Hand Male 30+ (lines) Ranch hand is a big man, strong, overbearing, overconfident, and arrogant. He is a bully on the ranch and mistreats all his fellow Cowboys. He is the kind of man that was used to getting his own way because of his size and aggressive nature.
5. Mr. Richardson Male 50+ (lines) Randall Richardson did very well in the silver mines early on. He is now retired and enjoying life in Tombstone with his former debutant wife Rachel. Together they represent the upper crust of Tombstone High Society.
6. Mrs. Richardson Female 50+ (lines) Rachel Richardson came from a very wealthy family back East. Randall had lured her to Arizona with tales of the silver mine riches. Tombstone has not lived up to her expectations, and she resents Randall for dragging her out here.
7. Pappy (jailer) Male 50+ (lines) Pappy has a magnetic personality. He is a retired law enforcement officer with a severe limp. He's glad to be still helping with the process.
8. Judge Male 45+ (lines) The judge firmly believes in the letter of the law. He is authoritarian and is precise in
his manner.
9. Bartender Male 30+ (lines) Tough, professional, personable.
10. Shopkeeper Female 30+ (lines) Shopkeeper is a neat freak with an eagle eye for watching the merchandise.
11. Working Girl 1 Female 35+ (lines) Established working girl wearing bloomers and flimsy house coat.
12. Working Girl 2 Female 25+ (lines) Younger working girl also wearing revealing dress.
13. Poker Player 1 Male 45+ (lines) Very quiet, introverted and cautious player. A retired court clerk. His wife allows him$2 and one day a week to play poker.
14. Poker Player 2 Male 30+ (lines) Army Sergeant Malloy is a beast, a hard-hitting, no-nonsense kind of guy. No one would ever give him any kind of grief. He is just here to play poker.
15. Poker Player 3 Male 45+ (lines) A supervisor at the Tough Nut Mine. He works the midnight to 8:00 AM shift, likes it. This gives him plenty of time to play cards and drink beer.
16. Poker Player 4 Male 50+ (lines) Older than the rest of the men at the table. He owns the double T ranch just on the outskirts of town. He is a hard man, knows what he is doing, and has no issues holding his own at the poker table.
17. Drunk Male 50+ Older man, sickly, wore out.
18. Condemned 1 Male 30+ Eldest Bell brother. Condemned to hang for a botched robbery resulting in a death.
19. Condemned 2 Male 25+ A member of the Bell Brother’s gang.
20. Condemned 3 Male 18+ Youngest of the Bell brothers.
21. Saloon Girl Female 25+ Attractive, stays near the money and those who have it.
22. Executioner Male 50+ An odd sort. Would be difficult imagining him in a different profession.
23. Marshal Male 45+ Veteran lawman. Very proficient in dealing with outlaws.
24. Deputy 1 Male 25+ Young, clean cut lawman.
25. Deputy 2 Male 20+ Younger, clean cut novice lawman.
Extras 10-15 Varying ages, young and adult, male and female. Townspeople.
Crew members needed: Gaffers, Grips, Riggers, Sound Tech, BTS Camera, Production Assistant, Make up, Costumes.
